Age Legislation came into force on 1 October 2006 . SWOOP saw the new law in with an early morning interview on Radio Devon. We also took part in a news article for ITV West Country news.

ACAS has a helpline for businesses and individuals (08456 061600) answering questions on the age legislation. They have also produced a detailed and thorough guide for employers “Age and the Workplace – Putting the Employment Equality Regulations 2006 into Practice”.
